 Senior Engineer / Technical Director:

Micro Macro IT Solutions is a boutique professional IT services provider specialising mainly in the healthcare and retail sector although servicing a wide variety of client types. We are growing and in need of a full-time level 3 engineer to take ownership of all IT infrastructure and related project work. We are a relaxed working environment with a start-up feel. This position will be THE senior resource and technical director for all technology matters across the company.

In this role you will need to:

• Manage the IT infrastructure and hosted infrastructure across the organisation to support internal and client facing systems

• Work with the managing director to develop the technology platform underpinning our products and services that we in-turn provide to our clients

• Work closely with the Service Desk Manager to ensure all our client systems are running optimally and projects are on schedule

• Provide product and IT expertise to all stakeholders (internal and client) and assist with major IT projects

• Assist with support requests escalated from the service desk team

You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an Australian work permit to apply. To be considered for this role you MUST have the following qualifications, technical knowledge, skills and experience:

• Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills

• Superior written and verbal skills (must be fluent in English) and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise server and network solutions for both voice and data networks

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft on-premises Windows Server systems

• Proficiency with cloud technologies including Microsoft 365 / Office 365, Azure and knowledge of AWS

• Proficiency with virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)

• Understanding of cyber security fundamentals and ability to implement desired controls across the organisation

• Deep level of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in all levels of ICT

• Ability to prepare and maintain detailed documentation

• Self-motivated with the initiative and ability to work in a fast-moving environment

• Willingness to assist others and provide a point of escalation

• The desire to investigate and explore new technologies and help explain and convert these into next generation products and services for our clients

• Expert IT foundations and the ability to find and come up with creative solutions

• A valid Australian Drivers Licence

• Minimum 10 years commercial experience in the IT field

• Experience working within the IT services or managed services industry and expert experience with related systems such as anti-virus, firewall, VPN,

The following are also highly desirable:

• Experience with a Remote Management System (RMM)

• Experience with Ticketing Systems

• Related Industry certifications

• Experience with medical software systems, practice management systems, electronic medical records or other health related software especially within the medical specialist sector

• Experience with PABX telephony systems and VoIP

• Experience with scripting and software development
